Shifting Perspectives: Leveling 21-30

Every week, Shifting Perspectives examines issues affecting Druids and those who group with them. This week, we slog through levels 21-30. Also, werewolves.

Once the news broke on Troll Druids (and, I would guess, Worgen Druids as well, assuming that Blizzard isn't in the middle of a giant hoax), I sat back in my chair and held the following conversation with my subconscious, as I am so often wont to do:

ME: Troll Druids make no sense. Neither do Worgen Druids.

SUBCONSCIOUS: This is not about sense. This is about expanding your readership. Trolls + Worgen = MOAR DURIDS = more people reading Shifting Perspectives.

ME: That's not a valid statistical assertion.

SUBCONSCIOUS: Cool story, bro. Everyone will be rolling a werewolf Worgen when the expansion hits. You know you will be.

ME: (silence)

SUBCONSCIOUS: Werewolves! How badass is that, is all I'm saying.

ME: But the Trolls hate the Elves! They wouldn't be caught dead in Moonglade! And how the hell did the Worgen learn Druidic magic that took thousands of years to develop while some nutcase locked them behind the Greymane wall for 10 some-odd years?

SUBCONSCIOUS: Who cares?

ME (faltering): But...lore...wibba...wubba...

SUBCONSCIOUS: F%@k the lore! Now's the time to make a mad bid for power! Grind the rest of the class columnists under your questionably-itemized i-level 239 boot!

ME: Screw you, I need to go write the column for this week.

SUBCONSCIOUS (shouts after me): WEREWOLVES WEREWOLVES WEREWOLVES!

All right, my newly-expanding readership, let's get our collective nose back to the grindstone. Levels 21-30 are going to be significantly easier than levels 10-20 if for no other reason than a growing set of offensive abilities, but overall they're still not likely to be among your easiest.

If you're leveling Balance, your DPS rotation should be making heavy use of an early Moonfire and then Wrath spam in conjunction with Rooting mobs to keep yourself undamaged. Starfire can also be used, but until you get some +haste on your gear it's a very long cast (although it's more mana efficient than Wrath). I would advise investing in a Glyph of Entangling Roots for leveling purposes.

If you're leveling Feral, the Cat's DPS rotation will be mostly Claw spam for the moment. A 2 to 3 combo-point Rip on your target will force it to die a little faster, though. Pull with Feral Faerie Fire, pop out of Cat to heal, then keep grinding. You can open from Stealth if you want, but in the absence of Ravage and Pounce, there's really not much point to doing so from a combat perspective.

LEVEL 22

Two new skills and three updates:
Shred: At 80 this will be a major contribution to your DPS and your main "spammy" damage skill, but while leveling it's of significantly less use due to its positional requirement. "Positional requirement?", you ask. Namely, you have to be behind a mob. Without access to Maim, your only real opportunity to use Shred at this level (unless you're DPSing a dungeon) is while opening from Prowl, so while it's a great damage move, you'll probably only get one off before the outraged mob in question is facing you. Hence, if you're leveling Feral, whether you invest 2 points in Shredding Attacks or not is entirely up to you.
Soothe Animal: In my opinion, this is one of the Druid's most underrated abilities. It's a version of the Priest ability Mind Soothe, and as of Wrath, it applies to Dragonkin in addition to Beasts. It's instant-cast, doesn't place you in combat, and is basically a version of stealth without being in stealth; it greatly reduces the distance at which a hostile Beast or Dragon will "see" you. Even at 80 I still find it enormously useful while herbing or running around doing anything without wanting to spend time in a fight. A trick you may want to use while trying to stealth past a higher-level Beast or Dragon is casting Soothe Animal on them first, and then attempting to stealth past; it's a poor-man's version of Distract.
Moonfire, rank 4: standard upgrade. Rejuvenation, rank 4: standard upgrade. Wrath, rank 4: standard upgrade.
LEVEL 24

Two key Cat damage abilities (immensely improved from their initial form) and the ability to decurse!

Rake: In the absence of the ability to use Shred on most targets while soloing, Rake was always a go-to Cat skill for face-to-face combat. However, it wasn't worth keeping on your bars for dedicated DPS situations in classic or BC, in which it wasn't really worth using over the old "Shred to 4/5 combo points, then Rip" rotation. Nowadays, Rake is worth your respect, and worth using early on an enemy to get a potent bleed going in addition to a valuable combo point. At this level, it should be the first damage ability you slap on a mob. At 80 you'll still be using a lot of it for dedicated DPS, but while soloing, a mob may not live long enough to see much damage from the bleed. Remove Curse: At one time in the not too distant past, Druids were the only healing class with the ability to remove curses, so three guesses as to what we were doing for the most part in raids. At any rate, Remove Curse is a fairly straightforward ability, but I would highly recommend downloading Decursive or a similar mod if you plan on healing (possibly even if you don't). It should make debuff removal (for both curses and poisons) both faster and easier. Tiger's Fury: Until Wrath, TF cost energy and really wasn't worth using for the most part; the damage return was almost canceled out by the energy cost, and it was only useful opening from stealth where you could pop it about 4 seconds before making your first attack (which allowed enough time for your energy to tick back to full). These days, the ability has a 30-second cooldown but is significantly more useful, particularly if talented with King of the Jungle. Train (or macro) yourself into popping it on cooldown. Regrowth, rank 3: standard upgrade. Revive, rank 2: standard upgrade. Sad as this sounds, I still get excited to resurrect people. Swipe, rank 2: standard upgrade. Thorns, rank 3: standard upgrade.
LEVEL 26

Two new abilities and a few upgrades:

Abolish Poison: Installed Decursive yet? You'll probably want to after getting this. Abolish Poison replaces Cure Poison, the quest-only ability from level 14, so if you never bothered to do the poison questline, it becomes a moot point at level 26 (although I'd still recommend doing it for the sake of some class lore). Because Abolish Poison ticks every 3 seconds for 12 seconds (it used to be 2 for 8, if I recall correctly), you can use it preemptively on a tank or PvP partner when a mob or enemy player is going to try to get a poison up (e.g. Titanium Vanguards in Halls of Lightning, or versus a Rogue or Hunter in PvP). Dash, rank 1: This Cat ability (a clone of the Rogue's Sprint) is a great emergency skill and significantly faster than Travel Form for getting out of trouble quickly. It's also great for closing the distance between yourself and a PvP opponent, or for getting to a runner in a dungeon, although Feral Charge (the Feral 21-point talent; the earliest you can get it will be in 4 levels) will accomplish the latter two without having to blow Dash's more serious cooldown. Healing Touch, rank 5: standard upgrade. Maul, rank 3: standard upgrade. Starfire, rank 2: standard upgrade.

Use level 40 Sorc buffs on low level groupmate in RvR areas

I discovered this last night while trying a few things out using multi accounts.

I am sure this could be applied with other classes as well, but this is only going to cover a warhammer level 40 Sorc grouping with a level 10 of any other class.

Group both characters while NOT flagged for RvR. (in the warcamp is good).

Cast both Sorc buffs (one deals damage to attacker when they hit you, the other deals extra damage when you hit others).

The 40 Sorc and the lower level character will both have the buffs, they last 60 minutes or till death.

Now, the game will disable these buffs on a lower level character if the Sorc is ALIVE, but if the level 40 Sorc is DEAD, then the full damage of the buffs will apply to the lower level character.

How you get this to work is the following way.

1) Buff up both characters in the Warcamp that you plan on fighting at with the lower level character (make sure neither is flagged).

2) Get the level 40 Sorc killed, but do NOT release. Leave him laying on the ground for the full 5 minutes. (while the Sorc is DEAD, the buffs will have full level 40 effect on the lower level character).

3) While the Sorc is dead, you have 5 minutes to run around on the low level character and RAPE anyone you come across. The biggest effect for this exploit is in tier 1, because of the shear damage these buffs dish out.

4) When the Sorc's res timer auto resses, then stop RvRing with the lower level character and go get the Sorc killed off again. (you can jump off ledges or run into enemy warcamp to get killed by guards, easy way)

5) If your lower level character dies, they will need to be rebuffed, so just release both your Sorc and the lower level character and both will appear at the warcamp together, unflagged. Just recast both buffs and repeat steps.

Enjoy the rape.

These buffs do the following damage.

If you get hit, you deal 200 damage back to attacker.
If you hit others, you deal anywhere from 180-300 damage additional.

In tier 1, most players only have 1000-1500 HP at level 10 or 11. So if you use these buffs you can slaughter full groups by yourself.

Warhammer Ragbag & Bitter Rivals

Since the EU servers crashed completely (again) and we're stuck at the initializing screen since quite a while, i thought i'll update my blog with a new ragbag. (Source: stuntystomper.blogspot.com) Some of the pics are from wierd bugs i encountered after patch 1.2, seems it was just temporary glitches tho as i did not encounter them again.

Talking about glitches: On Karak-Azgal a group encountered a weird bug... they wiped at the skeleton sub-boss in BWE and afterwards the tank had an aura that attacked friendly mobs. After some killing of other players and aggroing the large ancient protector bird inside IC, this resulted in killing the whole leadership crew inside the Eternal Citadel. He wanted to become king instead of the king. Forum thread is here and there is a youtube video as well. I thought this was funny, worldfirst kill of a king. Although IMO now we have to shoot him, being a traitor to Destruction and all... i know others had the bug as well and some got suspended for abusing it to kill other players.

The Bitter Rivals live event is close to an end, so better finish the remaining tasks now if you want to flag your account for Choppa/Slayer access or want those titles. To flag your account with max event INF you can leave two tasks out. The Twisting Tower scenario had some really good ideas in it (base jumping, transformation, etc.) but the layout could have been better IMO. The Reikland Factory had a very good layout concerning access to all parts. Did you know that you can just jump off the tower if you want to keep your transformed state a tad longer? With the pie throwing back in game, its also possible again to obtain the two titles "Pie Assassin" (killing blow with a pie) and "Death by Pie" (get killed by pie).

The live event overall was okayish i would say, but i really wish Mythic will put some more work into the event tasks. Its the same boring stuff all over again most of the time. I know some kill tasks and collect tasks are designed to draw people into oRvR and try out the new scenario, but why not come up with something more unique? It would be easy to spice up some tasks with scripted events. Like the Slayer/Choppa attacks, but a bit more. Beside the cool "Stuntie Stompa" title, i thought the "treasure map hunt" was a great addition. There are three different map pieces to obtain: Bloodstained Map Piece, Glyph-covered Map Piece and Sand-stained Map Piece - those you can get in RvR, from some champ/hero mobs and also from the Slayer/Choppa NPCs that roam the greenskin zones. Once you finished the map, you can use it to start a small quest chain. At the end of the quests you'll get the title "Navigator of the Sands" and the final map as a pocket item, that does nothing (yet?). Would be cool if the map will obtain some kind of function once the Land of the Dead zone is released.

What more to mention about Bitter Rivals? The Slayer/Choppa NPCs can also drop a Broken Axe, using it will give you the title "Oathrender".
A sidenote on the Stinky Troll Bait reward (from event INF): When you use it (has 5 charges) it will generate an extra item inside your bag, called Boulder Throwing Troll - that is a huge kickass troll "siege engine", throwing boulders. Awesome! I have this idea stuck in my head about using those for an ingame game called Bouldertroll™, maybe I'll work on this further. ;) Just don't use it before you need it, else you'll be stuck with additional items. I used one and they look really cool (see picture). The Choppa/Slayer NPCs can also drop Redfang Grog sometimes.

Meanwhile the EU got a 10 days trial offer for WAR as well. Makes me wonder if/how we'll be able to get access to those recruit-a-friend pets the US has. If GOA works out a similar program for the EU *after* the trial offer, it will be hard to get those as people will have used the trial offer already. Hum...

While i haven't engaged in any capitol combat after patch 1.2 i hear some rumours about the first PQ acting very shaky and the boss mobs being a bit overpowered now.

There has been some heated discussion about the pick lock ability (you can bypass the postern door) in addition with the banner rez, as apparently some people exploited it and rez people inside the keep when all doors are still strong. Having an additional rez ability at hand for non-healer classes can be nice sometimes, especially in PvE. The main ingredient for the new rez potion meanwhile cost 15g at the guild vendor. I doubt i like anyone enough to spend that much gold on them. ;)

Should you not have realised it yet: Everyone can meanwhile read the official US Warhammer forums. They are still "beta" and some layout/color scheme issues IMO need to be improved, but at least they work alright from the looks of it. My personal guess is we'll have to wait until they move out of beta before the EU gets their own forums.

With patch 1.2 there are some addons that stopped working or some function that were disabled by Mythic. Luckily many of them got fixed to work properly: zMailMod broke with the patch. I saw this coming and cleaned up my mailboxes before the 1.2 patch. But rejoice: Despite z00g not playing WAR anymore, he uses a trial account right now to fix the mod. The first version is up already, tho the mass collecting function seemed shaky to me, not sure if it was the mod or the mailserver. If you're a cultivator, you should check out the new & improved version of Miracle Grow Remix from Irinia, which has some awesome improvements like queueing additives and such. Also check out the thread with the latest beta version here. If you use Crafting Info Tooltip, there is a beta version (with eg. the new seeds included) available here.

Talking about addons, i found this addon recently: Bloody Mess. The mod adds a gore effect to all damage done and received. While i don't use it myself i thought its creative nontheless. :)

On a personal sidenote: I started trading 175/200 apothecary mats for rare hybrid plants. If you're interested to acquire some of those plants you don't have access to, especially being a Butcher, poke me if you want. Maybe we can work something out.

Missing Warhammer Solo Content

Missing Warhammer Solo Content? I want Mythic to fix RvR and endgame content to have fun with my buddies. You know what? Me too! BUT what is there to do in WAR when you log in during off-hours, when everyone else is busy doing stuff you're not up to right now or groups are full? Is there anything you can do solo that's fun? And I'm talking about a rank 40 character that does not have to level anymore. Sure, you can join the odd scenario solo, but it really depends on your class and some luck how that will turn out. Often it's not much fun to solo join scenarios. In oRvR chances are, you'll run into a warband and get stomped. I know what some say, its a MMO - you should play with others. But sometimes you just want to idle around and do something on your own. What options are there else or should there be?

Crafting
If your crafting skills are not maxed yet, sure you can train these... but crafting in WAR is very, very easy so that won't last long. You can start to hunt for ingredients, but you don't really need to as there are only few consumables you really need. I always run around with stacks of those potions i can use for tanking, but neither is it hard to hunt for them nor is grinding mats that much fun. In WAR there is no real hunt for recipes either, so being busy trying to acquire that odd recipe you're missing is not an option. The pre-launch proclaimed "experimental" side for crafting does not really exist in WAR.
You could try to earn money with your crafting skills, but at the moment crafted things like potions are worth pretty much nothing. Talisman makers can make a few bucks and sure you can sell raw ingredients, but nothing really gives you the "feeling" you created something valuable that is worth selling and showing off proudly at the auction house. Crafting in WAR right now is not a fun experience once you get the hang of it and the "products" are only of limited use. The ingame economy is quite broken compared to other games.

Warhammer Solo Content
Once you hit rank 40 there are not many quests still worth doing. Most likely you'll have solved all existing epic quests with rank 37 or right after. Why not have some loooong and epic rank 40 questline to immerse in? In Age of Conan you had this very long and character defining main quest line you were following all the way up to max. level. Some epic rank 40 questlines with a good story to tell, a few nice rewards along the way and some epic challenges would be great. In AoC there were many instances for that questline you had to enter solo and no one else could help you with. Some of them had good challenges concerning the appearing fights and you had to utilize your character properly to beat them. Talking about those instances, why not have a duo dungeon? I know many play with their girlfriend/wife or best friend. A challenging dungeon for two players could be fun as well. Could be like an epic PQ, maybe 30-40min long, repeatable once a day. And i really don't care if you can only find social clothing in there, just want something unique.

Tome unlocks
Of course there are tome unlocks you can hunt as well. But most are pretty useless when it comes to character development and just fluff. I like fluff, but killing thousands of NPCs (for the unlocks not everyone has) is not that much fun. And once you scouted the existing world there is not so much more to see.

Beside renown, right now there is only so much to do when soloing. Shouldn't there be at least some things to do? I really hope they'll pimp crafting some more. I read in some comment from a dev that they'll have another look at crafting (especially apothecary) again. Let's hope they'll fix the highest tier potions and maybe add some fun (transformation, speed, etc.) potions. IMO it should be possible to advance your characters devlopment solo in some more ways. And if its an epic questline that's highly entertaining, that's fine with me as well. The rewards can also be of a cosmetic nature... new dyes, cool cloaks, trophies, maybe some character customizing stuff you can apply like the CE stuff. Do you log in sometimes to discover everyone else is busy/offline? What do you do? What do you WANT to do?

The Quest for 7 Warhammer Seeds

The Quest for 7 Warhammer Seeds - Zeronova scours Ravenraid, Salzenmund and Beeckerhoven in Chapter III and IV portions of the Chaos vs. Empire pairing to find 7 skill level 25 seeds. In the process, she acquired almost 50% of the experience points toward level 12 on kills alone. It can be safely said that the various Empire spearmen, trackers, guards, greatswords, handgunners, and the like, have a good chance of dropping skill level 10 leeches for apothecaries. I can attest to this by virtue of accumulating 2 full pots (stacks) of leeches - 40 of them.

And yes, she killed lots of other things too - wolves, boars, sprites, spiders, deer, rats, birds, and well…she probably should have taken Butchering and not Scavenging…

All of this netted some vendor level 1 seeds; 2 level 15 seeds, and 1 skill 25 seed…meanwhile prices in AH for skill 25 seeds are starting to go…up - now 2 gold for one.

She found lots of other useful stuff…dirt, water, talisman components, potions and so forth… Lots of leeches. And Mudmaggot LIKE LEECHES. Especially LOTS and LOTS of LEECHES. Why? They’re great for healing potions. But, more importantly - you want enough healing potions that you can put them on your action bar and know that it’s not going to have to be replaced every time. A stack of 10 or 20 healing potions is a nice thing to have.

So - standardization of healing potions is very useful in PVP for non-healing classes. I tend to keep the “heal over time” potions for my healers - between their own heals, heal over times, a heal over time potion, and their morale abilities - they can go on suicide-take-the-flag missions in scenarios and maybe even have half-a-chance of living.

Ahhh….and that was the limit of my patience for grinding, so I turned to the web to learn a few interesting things. There’s a goblin that offers a quest - reward is only for about 100 xp and a seed - cultivating it continues to produce new seeds (provided one doesn’t get a critical failure). Also, level 1 seeds can get you to skill level 50 - it just takes a while longer. And, that is the route I’m going to take…

Warhammer Witch Elf Tier One Scenario Guide

Pay attention to here, warhammer latest news: Warhammer Witch Elf Tier One Scenario Guide is here. Read it now!

MMORPG.com Warhammer Online Correspondent Andrew Bobb writes this Warhammer Witch Elf Tier One Scenario Guide to getting the most out of your Warhammer Witch Elf in Tier One scenarios.

The Witch Elves are the primary melee damage dealers of the Dark Elf race. They dual wield daggers and combine status effects, damage over time, and rapid high damage attacks to quickly subdue their foes. This culminates in the release of built up Bloodlust through a Frenzy attack for big damage. A Witch Elf is an assassin, so do not engage in prolonged fights.

In RvR, Witch Elves provide a lethal boost to the main attacking force, but are even more effective as flankers harassing the enemy's ranged support. You can do this solo or with one or two additional players for support, depending on the number of players in the scenario. If too many players are missing from the main force, this will have the twofold effect of weakening their combat effectiveness and giving your tactic away to the enemy. If taking support, a healer or another damage dealer are ideal choices.

You can queue for RvR scenarios from level 1, but with only Throwing Dagger, Slice, and Flee available, your effectiveness will be limited. You will receive a temporary hit point boost for balance, but will still be lacking in additional abilities. Should you still desire to fight at level 1, hit and run tactics will be your best contribution to the team. Flank the enemy, hit the ranged support units, and then get away.

Open the attack with Throwing Dagger while closing on your prey. If you hit them from behind, this has a snare effect, preventing your target from running away. Follow with repeated use of Slice when you reach melee range. If you attract the attention of more than one target, activate Flee and get away. If they give chase, you will have pulled valuable combatants away from the opponent?s main force.

This guerrilla approach to playing the Warhammer Witch Elf will continue to prove useful as you go up in level. By level 4, you will have a Frenzy ability to release your Bloodlust (Puncture), a stacking damage over time ability (Envenomed Blade), and a damage booster with a chance to cause a debuff (Kiss of Agony). At this point the Witch Elf can really bring the pain. Additionally, this is a good point to begin playing as a front line attacker if this is the way you prefer to play.

At level 5 the art of assassination is revealed. The Agonizing Wound ability is your back stab skill, a damaging attack which ignores armor when used from behind. When flanking, this will be your new opener until level 10. If your target does you the service of trying to run away, keep hitting them from behind with Agonizing Wound for a really quick finish. Chasing scared Shadow Warriors around the backfield while the tanks are busy elsewhere is pure ecstasy for a Druchii.

Having spent the last five levels sating your lust for murder, you have reached level 10. All that sneaky backfield treachery is about to reach new heights of awesome. With level 10 you gain Shadow Prowler and Vehement Blades. Shadow Prowler is an invisibility skill that slowly drains Action Points while you are invisible. Vehement Blades is an opening attack from the invisible state that builds 2 Bloodlust, causes your opponent to take damage when they use melee abilities, and makes all your abilities cost half as much for a short time.

You now have ultimate access to your opponent?s backfield, and all the soft targets that tend to stay there. However, due to the AP drain of Shadow Prowler, it is best to wait until you are almost there to use it, or keep AP restoration potions handy. You do not want to run out of AP behind enemy lines. That said, open with Vehement Blades out of Shadow Prowler, stack Envenomed Blade three times, and then release your Bloodlust with Puncture for a big damage assault with lingering effects.

By level 10 you will also have unlocked a second Frenzy with a debuff (Heart Render Toxin), a skill to use your back stab from any direction for a short time (Feinted Positioning), a detaunt to weaken attacks from non-targeted opponents (Enchanting Beauty), a morale skill that deals massive damage (Sever Nerve), and a second damage booster with debuff (Kiss of Death). This provides a variety of tactical options for dealing with different situations. You should now set two skill bars: one for your backfield guerrilla tactics, and the other for front line combat. Your backfield skill set should focus on pouring on the damage with Kiss of Agony and Puncture being you damage boost and Frenzy choices. The skills to use on the front line should focus on debuffs which support the whole team effort. Kiss of Death and Heart Render Toxin are more useful here.

While pursuing front line combat, use potions to enhance your armor and provide health regeneration. This will help to counter the vulnerability of your light armor and reduce the demand on your healers. Enchanting Beauty will bolster your defenses further by ensuring most combatants in the fray are only hitting you for half damage. Don't forget about Feinted Positioning and Agonizing Wound either. Ignoring the heavy armor of an enemy tank will bypass their greatest asset.

With basic combat tactics covered, it is time to bring strategy to the battlefield. The 3 RvR scenarios for Tier 1 are Khaine's Embrace, Gates of Ekrund, and Nordenwatch. All three are capture and control missions, which focus on gaining and maintaining control of focal points on the battlefield. The focal points are illuminated with a bright circle of light and have flags at the center. The focal points glow blue for Order control, red for Destruction control, and Green for neutral.

Gates of Ekrund and Nordenwatch both feature hree control points; one close to either spawn point and a third centrally located. At the Gates of Ekrund, they are situated in a straight line. At Nordenwatch, the control points form a V shape. Gaining control of the neutral points simply requires standing near them until the progress bar fills. Order controlled points take twice as long to claim as they must first be reverted to neutral status. The more players standing near the point, the faster control is gained.

Khaine's Embrace is unique, as it features two control points rather than three. The mechanic of this scenario requires right clicking the control point flag to begin a five second action to claim the point. Once both points are claimed by one side, a countdown begins. After lock down, a battle horn sounds and massive explosions occur, killing anybody near the control points and the Altar of Khaine. The control points then reset to neutral.

The battle generally begins with each team claiming a point them fighting over the third, or trying to take the other side's point in the case of Khaine's Embrace. This generally results in a massive stalemate somewhere in the middle. So, WOW Witch Elves, it is time to put your espionage skills to use and take control of the field. Take one of the side paths and hide, or Shadow Prowl at level 10, close to the Order side control point and wait for the enemy to abandon it for further conquest. When they leave, slip in for a quick and uncontested claim. After a satisfyingly wicked laugh, go attack from behind.

These tactics should serve you well as you work your way through Tier 1 RvR. This will also provide a solid tactical foundation as you progress to Tier 2. However, these methods are not the only options available to you. One of WAR's best features is the balance of the RvR system. Experiment with your skills; maybe you will discover tactics that are even more effective for your play style. Go forth and slaughter, beautiful Daughters of Khaine.

Warhammer Bots: Bugged lvl 35 Mobs

From Dragonwake go to Isle of the Dead. Head to the Ritual of Death PQ. There are four locations where two Deathwracked Servants spawn by a column. These mobs will not attack you.. ever. They will die randomly, and respawn randomly (Sometimes less than 5 seconds). They give loot (I farmed at least 10 blues and countless greens) and coin and credit for a dark elf kill (I got two pips now) and exp.

Sure, you can go there and kill them over and over, but to maximize this exploit why not bot it? I have no autoit or programming experience so I made a ghetto bot with my nostromo gamepad. The same could be duplicated exactly on the g15 I imagine. Here is what I rigged up with my lack of programming skill.

Position your character so that one is directly behind the other. Set your mouse so that it is on a point where one mob overlaps the other. Set up the gamepad to click left THEN right at a short interval and loop it. I used .1 seconds. Set and loop a kill sequence, as caster I just tossed a few DoT's and a DD.

What happens. You kill the first, as he drops you right click and loot, it auto loots, when the first has dropped to the ground the second becomes available to be clicked on. It left clicks, kills, then loots and continues to click until the first respawns.

I left this going while at work, sleeping, doing other things etc...

Only problem I ran into was the server going down, and my bags getting full.

WARNING: The Tormented Spirits wander and will kill you if you are in the wrong spot. The key is to be in a spot close enough to loot and kill both mobs, but not too close to be in a path of a spirit. If you set your kill macro to be defensive enough you can take a spirit every once in a while (They respawn slow).. but it causes problems as you may click OFF them and they will kill you while you take down a servant. Also, it can push the PQ along, if it goes into stage 2 you are ****ed. I recommend avoiding the Spirits, and it is not too difficult. I have found 3 spots where I can kill both servants and not agro the spirits. One is in the screenshot I have posted. Be careful one does not wander across the path of your mouse pointer or you will click and pull it. Also, make sure your loot screen does not interfere with you clicker. If you leave this on for an extended period of time your bags WILL get full and the loot screen won't go away.

Exp starts really sucking at 38 (100exp a kill) but this is pretty much free exp until 39, and unlimited coin.

Warhammer level 37 instant spawn

Warhammer level 37 instant spawn - I found a perfect grinding spot in Thunder Mountain. If you go stand exactly where I am on the picture you will see 2 Moltenback Snarlers. When you one it respawns immediatly. Very good spot for mindless grinding or setting up an easy bot or G15-macro. Accessible for both Order and Destruction players.

Warhammer online Invincibility Exploit

Use the print screen jump on any building located near the red dot in the image below. Face the wall, and be staring at the building on a flat side(harder to do on corners of walls). Make sure you are not at an angle (or you will travel down the wall while doing the print screen jump). I find it best to print screen jump on what looks like a support strut running up the side of the wall. Spam print screen and jump alternating VERY fast. Do it the right amount and you will end up falling into the building/into the water beneath the world.

From there you just swim around and attack everything. Monsters in CH15 PQ don't evade bug. Easy farming for inf+chest rewards.

You will need to decide when to stop stacking the printscr+jumps to properly fall into the building. I cannot tell you when to stop because it's different for each persons computer(the printscreen jump bug relies on interface lag that causes your jumps to stack onto each other while near an almost verticle surface : It relies on how long it takes your computer to screenshot)

It takes some practice to get print screen jumping working. Warhammer online Invincibility Exploit does work. For those who are not used to print screen jumping it may take a long time or you may end up on the roof of the building instead. I can reproduce this exploit and will provide screenshots later.

Warhammer level 21+ solo, influence + gunbad

Mythic changed the XP function for level 21-31 last week. Players can take advantage of this by going to Gunbad.

When you zone in, choose the left path over the bridge toward a couple champion goblin squiq herders and their 5 non-champ pet squiqs. These non-champ squiqs are level 25. I was able to kill them at level 21 as a witch elf, depending on your class type, your milage may vary. They were worth 1680 xp each at level 210, by level 25 they were down to 750 exp each, but still worth 5 times as much as normal mobs. (which they are).

So, first go across the bridge, kill all 10 of the squiqs, if you are level 21, killing 10 will result in 16,800 xp to kill 10 mobs... seeing as most quests for this level only give out around 2500-3000 xp, this is insane xp. Once you kill those 10, they will need to be given some time to respawn. Move further into the cave and hug the right wall... now, I am not sure how tough this will be for non-stealth classes. This tip may end here for non stealthers.... anyway if you get past, you can get to another non-champ squiq area that is even better.... because it is inside a PQ that gives Gunbad influence.

The first stage of this PQ is to kill 18 squiqs. If you are solo, you are getting the mad XP for each kill, plus you get 600 influence per squiq kill. If you repeat this stage 1 of this PQ, 8 times you will be max faction for Gunbad. To get the most out of my time, I would queue up for scenarios right outside the Gunbad entrance, zone in, kill the first 10 squiqs for XP, if the scenario pops I take it. if not then I moved into the next area for XP and INF.

Warhammer Elves Meet the White Lion levels 1-5

If you have known classes of Warhammer Online, we will continue our exclusive pre-NDA look at the Elves of WAR today, with a look at the White Lion class from the ground up.

The White Lion career with a loyal lion pet by their side, an enormous axe in their hand is a melee dps class on the side of Order and very good at taking down enemies, especially small groups of them. It is only available to High Elves.

You start the game with three abilities:

Level 1 - Call War Lion
60 AP, 2sec casting time, 15sec cooldown
You call your tamed War Lion to come forth and fight with you. You may only have a single War Lion at a time.

Level 1 - Hack
30 AP, Instant cast, 5ft range
A brutal chop at your enemy which deals 15 damage.

Level 1 - Axe Toss
20 AP, 1sec casting time, 5-65ft range
You fling a throwing axe at your target, dealing 10 damage.

Your initial lion is rather weak, dealing about 5 damage per hit. When you get your first pet buff at 3 level that situation will chang. Until then, consider him a weak DoT. Don't get too excited about the Axe Toss ability either. You aren't a ranged dps class. Its just for tagging mobs from a distance.

The real gem among your initial abilities is Hack. If you desire to take down your enemies quickly in your first few levels, you must gain your spammable special axe attack.

Level 2 - Blindside
30 AP, Instant cast, 5ft range, 5sec cooldown
You attack your enemy at a vulnerable spot, dealing 17 damage immediately and inflicting them with an Ailment which deals an additional 36 damage over 9 seconds.

Later, when you pet can taunt, you can move next to or behind an opponent to unleash more powerful attacks like this one. For now, you must send your lion in first to attack a mob and gain initial aggro so you can come up from behind and open up with this ability. This also puts an Ailment on the mob which opens up other abilities later.

Level 3 - Trained to Threaten
No AP cost, Instant cast
You train your pet to behave menacingly, increasing it's Toughness and Initiative by 6 and increasing your chnce to critically hit by 5% as long as you are at your target's sides or back. Your War Lion gains the ability to threaten its enemies, the abitlity to reduce a fore's armor and the ability to snare its enemies.

This is your bread-and-butter pet tank buff. There are three abilities your pet gets:

Leg Tear
Deals 85 damage to the target over 15 seconds. For the first 5 seocnds, the target will be snared, reducing their movemen t by 40%

Shred
Deals 33 damage to the target and reduces their armor by 29 for 10 seconds.

Lion's Roar
Taunts all enemies in front of your War Lion, up to 30 feet away, making them hate your pet much more and causing them to deal 30% less damage to eeveryone else other than your Lion.

As you can see, your pet is not only better at tanking, but damage and debuffing, too. Sometimes you pet might use unfit abilities in the battle yet you can't tell it. There is a good method to avoid this situation that you can turn the abilities on or off whenever you want, thus limiting the pet's choice in battle to what you need done. It's now also much easier to use Blindside as your lion now has a strong taunt.

Later you will get another pet buff that makes them better at damage in case you like to do the tanking on solo mobs as well as a third buff that balances between offensive and defensive abilities in case you want to fight side by side with your lion.

Level 4 - Coordinated Strike
50 AP, Instant cast, 5ft range
You and your War Lion attack as a pack ravaging your enemies. You strike your traget for 15 damage, and your pet strikes its target for 15 damage. if you are within 10 feet of your pet's target, you will also strike that enemy for 15 damage and likewise, if your pet is within 10 feet of your target, it will also strike your enemy for 15 damage as well.

Here's the TLDR version: you and your pet get an extra strike on each other's target. If you are on the same target, it's a good chunk of damage. If you are on separate mobs, it's like a free attack. This is one of the unique abilities that only pet classes get.

Level 5 - Nature's Bond
30 AP, Instant cast, 150ft range
Your War Lion regains 165 health over 15 seconds.

This instacast HoT is great in a pinch to buy your pet some extra time while you hack away at your opponents.

That's it for the first five levels. Do you think it is very simple at the first five warhammer leveling when you have seen this article? Of course, it is very easy at the beginning of the game provided you were even playing the MMORPG. However, do remember that the first beginning of your character would affect quests which you must complete in the future game. So the first warhammer leveling is very important for each player.
